When is the best time to start? During youthful years, when minds are
capable of absorbing vast amounts of information, is a great time to
start. However, guitar requires both musical and physical abilities.
Parents should consider children's physical ability when making a
decision to get started because starting too young can lead to
discouragement. I can help make the physical part of guitar a bit easier
on young fingers.
Parents face many decisions: What age? What kind of guitar? Which teacher? Wow! All important decisions, which is why I offer a free consultation to parents and students so they can make informed decisions. What about older students? While it's great to start early in life, there's no substitute for a bit of maturity. Don't let your age stop you. Whether you are 10, 20, or 60, the best time to start is now! How long will it take before I can play? That depends on many things including your ability and how hard you work at it. The truth is that most players feel that guitar is a life work. One is never done. However, I feel it's important to make music right away so you start learning to play a melody on day one. |
